Jewelry Care & Repair

When you build your favorite jewelry collection, you want to do everything you can to keep it beautiful over time. We make our jewelry in a variety of different materials, namely Swarovski’s crystal, 925 sterling silver, gold vermeil, gold gilded brass and natural pearl.

Prevent Jewelry From Tarnishing

Tarnishing is completely natural for sterling silver and plated jewelry, which is the result of the jewelry’s surface reacting to air.

Tarnishing is speeded up when exposed to salty air, chlorine, sulfur, humidity, perspiration, cosmetics, household bleach, and other strong chemicals.

To prevent jewelry tarnish, store it in a safe and dry place like the packing provided with your purchase is recommended.

How to Repair Gold Plated Jewelry?

You can clean your plated jewelry with a cotton ball or a very soft cloth to remove the dirt and dust that inevitably builds up over time. Make sure that the soft cloth is chemical free.

Please be aware of jewelry polishing cloths and abrasive cleaning methods, which can strip the plating than normal, so we don’t recommend liquid cleaners.

How to Repair For Sterling Silver Jewelry?

  1. Apply a small amount of silver jewelry cleaner to a soft cloth.
  2. Gently rub the silver with the cloth several times.
  3. Rinse the silver thoroughly in warm water.
  4. Blot dry and shine your silver with a polishing cloth or mitts. This will remove the tarnish and restore shine.
